What is the black sediment in my water?

There are a variety of minerals in the water typically and the test results of these materials can be viewed at the Pineview Improvement District office during business hours. Prominently the Pineview Water contains traces of manganese and iron promoting the black sediment seen by the users of the system. What is the white sediment in my water?

The white sediment comes from the calcium in the water.

When is flushing of the lines being done?

We flush lines twice a year, in the spring and the fall.

What is the source of the water?

The water source comes from a large aquifer (lake) underground, approximately 400+/- feet down.

How can I get on the system?

You need to apply via letter or email to the Pineview Improvement District for access to the water system. (pineviewimprovementdistrict@hotmail.com ) Please provide your address and reason for wanting to connect to the Pineview Water system. This information will be presented to the Pineview Improvement District board for review and potential approval. Prior to connection you will need permissions from the Regional District of Fraser Fort George, then the Pineview Improvement District will plan to connect you to our water distribution system. There is a minimum fee of $2,500.00 upfront to start this process.

How do I get water from the pump house at the Pineview Store?

Please come by our office during business hours and complete the form required for application and to acknowledge the rules and regulations pertaining to the use of district water and the fob for access to the pump house. The water fob currently has a one-time fee of $40.00 and quarterly pump house tolls are $79.00. You can suspend the card by letting the PID office know ahead of time, then you will not be charged until you want it reactivated.
The PID does not supply cam lock, hose or hauling apparatus.
